Dundee v Celtic – Team news, match officials, KO time & where to watch

Celtic kick-off at Dens Park this afternoon shortly after the St Mirren v theRangers match finishes. Regardless of the outcome in Paisley, Brendan Rodgers will have his side fully motivated and ready to secure the three points in the first post split fixture as Celtic look to defend our title.

Dundee made the top six after securing the point they needed away to Aberdeen and followed that up with a goalless draw against theRangers, a result that helped Celtic enormously. The Dens Park side will go man for man all over the park so it should make for an interesting afternoon with chances at both ends.

Celtic will be backed by a large support who will be vocal for the ninety minutes plus added on time and the Dundee support to bound to be out in numbers as they look to take something off Brendan Rodgers’ after three defeats so far this season.

Celtic Team News

Daizen Meada has returned to training but will not be available until next weekend’s match at Celtic Park against Hearts. James Forrest is in line for a starting slot after his outstanding on-off cameo at Hampden last week. The veteran winger is in fine form, is hungry for a goal every time he comes off the bench and has surely edged himself ahead of Yang and Luis Palma for a start.

Predicted Celtic Team

Joe Hart will have a back four of Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor in front of him. The midfield three will be the Celtic captain Callum McGregor and the two playmakers Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate. The front three for Celtic at Dens Park we reckon will by Nicolas Kuhn, Kyogo and James Forrest.

On the bench for Celtic at Dens Park we expect to see Bain, Nawrocki, Ralston, Tomoki, Bernardo, Yang, Palma, Idah and Kelly.

Match Officials – Beaton and Dallas!
