CELTIC are set to be handed a boost ahead of the Champions League qualifiers as they look to be seeded for all four ties. The Scottish Champions face three one-off qualifiers before a two legged play-off with a place in the lucrative Champions League.

The Scottish Sun are reporting that the club will be seeded for all the fixtures should Basel fail to win the Swiss title, joining Ajax, Red Bull Salzburg and Olympiacos as seeded participants.

Basel are currently loitering in third place, seven points off top spot with six games to go. This would be a huge boost for Celtic as it means that they would potentially avoid some tough ties. As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the club would benefit greatly from the financial riches of Europe’s premier competition.

The club have spent two seasons in the Europa League, exiting in the Round of 32 in both campaigns.

Celtic have confirmed that Euro qualifiers were included in the ‘Pass to Paradise’, which the club have announced will be hosted by BT Sport team featuring Chris Sutton, Michael Stewart, John Hartson and Gordon Strachan.
