JOZO SIMUNOVIC has posted a classy message to his ex-Celtic teammates following Scotland’s qualification to EURO2020. Greg Taylor, Leigh Griffiths, James Forrest, Ryan Christie, Craig Gordon, Stuart Armstrong, Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor all played with Simunovic during his five year stint in Glasgow and the defender has wished them all the best.
I would like to congratulate Scotland 🏴 for qualifying for the @Euro2020. Big congrats to my ex teammates 🍀 @CelticFC. Been there for five years and I know what this means for everyone.⚽️👏🏼

The Croatian defender joined from Dinamo Zagreb in 2015 following Virgil Van Dijk’s departure for Southampton. The 26-year-old signed a contract extension back in 2017 for four-years and it was expected that the club would exercise the option of the fourth year after his impressive domestic displays; however, Celtic opted to let the player go to make space in the squad for the arrival of Shane Duffy.
Simunovic will be hoping to earn a pay-as-you-play deal with a team in the coming weeks as he attempts to return to playing football. Celtic have been poor defensively this season and they certainly could have done a lot worse than the 25-year-old.
