DAY 6 of The Celtic Star’s Exclusive series showcasing the personal collection of photographs taken by the former Celtic Director Tom Grant as he watched on as the old Celtic Park – with the Jungle, Celtic End and Rangers End and of course the playing surface were all removed to make way for the Paradise we know and love today.

Before we move on to today’s instalment which are our last photographs from 1994 and you see the beginning of the modern arena at Celtic Park emerging from the dust and the rubble.

It’s beginning to look like Paradise.

These fascinating photographs which really do capture an important part in out club’s history and judging by the numbers of people viewing them – over 15,000 viewed yesterday – there is a a widespread interest in seeing these unique images which could have remained in a box in Tom Grant’s loft had he not seen a few photos of the old Celtic Park posted onto The Celtic Star by Highland Paddy.
