Celtic prepared for Saturday’s Glasgow Derby with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Ross County in Dingwall. The Scottish Champions travelled to The Highlands knowing that a win was needed after Rangers temporarily cut the gap to six points with a win over Dundee United at Ibrox the day before. Goals from Jota and Alexandro Bernabei, his first for Celtic, sealed the points for Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Willie Collum was told to check for a potential handball on the stroke of half-time and the veteran referee concurred that it was a handball. Iacovitti was penalised after Cameron Carter-Vickers header was blocked by the County defender’s arm. The superstar from Portugal, who scored from the spot against Hibs, was again on the penalty duties and drove the ball down the centre of the goal after Ross Laidlaw dived to his right.

Celtic created a number of chances in the second half as Malky Mackay’s County attempted to chase the game; however, they were unable to find the net until injury time when Alexandro Bernabei drove a stunning effort into the back of the net at the edge of the box. The full-back, who replaced Greg Taylor, latched onto a Jota pass (cleverly left by Haksabanovic) and hit it into the top corner.

Celtic now face theRangers on Saturday with a victory putting the reigning Champions in a great position to make it 2IAR.
