Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Aston Villa and Copenhagen have made bids for Hákon Rafn Valdimarsson. The Icelandic goalkeeper plays for Swedish side Elfsborg and had been linked by Football Scotland at various points throughout this month.

However, the transfer guru has confirmed bids have been made for the 22-year-old stopper with his stock rising.

Moreover, Mark Hendry’s update from Football Scotland says that Celtic wouldn’t be looking at Vadimarsson until the summer in any case as they have established No.1 Joe Hart between the sticks.

It appears that Celtic will review the No.1 position in the summer with Hart’s contract expiring then. Scott Bain and Benjamin Siegrist are not in contention and it is an area that Brendan Rodgers has said he will look at.

Celtic have been tracking Kelleher from Liverpool and reports appear to indicate a willingness on the part of the Merseyside club to part ways with the Ireland internationalist. However, a loan-to-buy deal would be the likeliest option given the fee that Liverpool would demand.
