Celtic have rejected a derisory offer from Atalanta for Matt O’Riley. The Serie A side have had a bid worth €18m knocked back with Celtic sticking to their asking price.
As reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Celtic have knocked back the bid from Atalanta as they look to get around £30m for the player.

Perhaps worryingly, Romano has said that the teams are in discussions for a deal. Atalanta are holding out for €60m for Teun Koopmeiners – who is attracting interest from Juventus and Liverpool. Celtic need to stick to their guns and only accept a bid for their star midfielder if a bid comes in that reflects his value to the team.
O’Riley has been in sparkling form during pre-season as he looks to keep up the form of last season. Two goals as he wore the captain’s armband helped Brendan Rodgers’ side to a 4-0 win over DC United in the early hours of this morning.
Celtic will be keen to get some transfer business done in the coming days, primarily bringing players in and selling players that are surplus to requirements.
Celtic F.C.1888 are being professional no use buying players that won’t improve current team it will take time as we seen the other night we have some promising youngsters coming through maybe not this season definitely next will step up to be an important part of team so we should go for experience that will be good for europe we have enough good players to win SPL our main concern is we need to compete in Europe past Christmas is our next goal scottish media keep on about our European record but we have had some of the hardest draws with a bit of luck and the right signingsgood to see O’Riley looking happy playing for Celtic_fc_1888 but with Liverpool supposedly entering bidding war that’s hard to refuse he might want a crack at Europe with Celtic and those unbelievable european nights what an atmosphere he enjoying life in Celtic and Glasgow and it shows looks contented with all the rumours Celtic should be looking for cover cause boy deserves to be in stronger league not Club in future
