Sky Sports reporter, Anthony Joseph has confirmed that Carl Starfelt has now agreed terms with La Liga side, Celta Vigo.
Speculation over a Carl Starfelt exit has been growing over the past few weeks. Following the opening game of the season, Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Starfelt may have his own reasons for leaving the Bhoys this summer. Although not starting. him, Rodgers put Starfelt on in the later stages of the match as he was aware that it could very well be his last appearance in a Celtic jersey.
According to Anthony Joseph, Starfelt has agreed to a long-term contract with Celta Vigo, with the paperwork being finalised within the next 24 hours. He took to Twitter to release the update, where he said…
“Celtic defender Carl Starfelt has agreed terms on a long-term contract with Celta Vigo. It’s understood paperwork is now being finalised and the deal could be completed in the next 24 hours. Celtic have already begun their pursuit of a replacement.”
Starfelt has put in two years of effort and dedication for the Hoops. If he has his own reasons for leaving the Hoops, he should be allowed to leave with as little hindrance as possible.
And Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal being agreed and and reveals that the Sweden international defender will sign a four year deal with the Spanish side.
