Rodgers is believed to have signed a five-year deal with the former Liverpool and Leicester City manager returning to the club, that he left in February 2019. The return to the Scottish Champions is particularly exciting as it suggests that Rodgers has been given assurances regarding the club’s vision for European success.
Rodgers had a hugely successful two and a half years in Glasgow’s East End. The 50-year-old won seven out of seven trophies as well as qualifying for the Group Stages of the Champions League on two occasions. Although, the issue that Rodgers highlighted was the failure to progress beyond the Last 32 in the Europa League appeared to create division between Rodgers and then-CEO Peter Lawwell.
Good manager I know
What he did in 2019 the past is the past let’s look ahead c’mon the hoops hail hail
I hope he leaves the sideways football at the gate. We were horrendously stale before he left and it really looked as though every opponent had figured out how to combat his tactics which were never changed. Time will tell I suppose.
