Feyenoord have agreed on the loan signing of Hugo Bueno from Wolves. Celtic had enquired about the status of the 21-year-old, however, no deal was forthcoming.

The Scottish Champions are in the market for a left back to compete with Greg Taylor as Brendan Rodgers looks to compete on all fronts.

Now, the Dutch side have confirmed the signing of the Spaniard – as per Anthony Joseph on Twitter/X.

It is believed that the clubs had held discussions but Wolves made it clear that they weren’t convinced to allow Bueno to leave the club on a temporary basis unless they were given game time guarantees.

Celtic are in the market for a second left back to compete with Taylor but the update means that the club will likely have to look elsewhere.

It makes sense that the club are not keen on taking a player that they would have no realistic option to buy on. Bueno is highly rated by Wolves and they’ll be keen to ensure that he’s on a trajectory that suits them rather than the loan club.
