First O’Riley, now Hatate is linked with Premier League move

First Matt O’Riley and now Reo Hatate. Matt looks likely to leave but we must rebuff any offer for Reo. We must stand firm, as we hold all the aces…

Hot on the heels of the news that Brighton have made an offer for Matt O’Riley, it’s been reported that Leicester City are interested in signing Reo Hatate.

Whether it’s credible or not, and it’s highly likely it is as Reo is a class act, then it’s a major concern giving that Reo along with Matt forms a vital part of our team.

It seems inevitable that Matt will leave, but Brendan has likely been planning for his departure and he will have a few names lined up to come in and replace the Danish international so it won’t pose too much of a problem, but if Reo was also to leave it would throw up a huge dilemma that we could clearly be doing without.

Losing one star player would be a blow, but to lose two would be an absolute disaster, no matter the financial compensation we would duly receive.

Especially two players who together form such a vital part of our side. You could say the midfield is the engine of our side and to lose two vital cogs at once would disrupt our efficiency, to say the least.

That’s why me must rebuff any offer for Reo. We don’t need to sell as the player is under contract and we don’t need the money. We must stand firm, we hold all the aces after all.
