New Stevenston CSC

New Stevenston CSC was originally founded in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It stopped in the mid-80s and reformed in 1994, when Celtic played their games at Hampden.

Over the years, they have always been based in the Red Lion, and that is where the bus leaves from. It is a pub where a few members of other CSCs drink in. They have a letter from Jimmy Delaney in their club’s possession, after he once wrote to them (see above).

The mainstay of the club is Mary McAvoy, who has booked the bus, taken the money, looked after the club accounts, helped with tickets, and told them all to behave on every bus. They have a couple of old club constitution booklets from the 1949–50 and 1952–53 seasons.

As a CSC, it has never been a bus for away games. A few members of the bus have gone on many trips, and it is always good to see the club flag in every corner of Europe.

Delve into what our forefathers got up to, from the horse and carts, motorised charabancs, war years, the highs of Lisbon to the histories of over 400 CSCs. Every supporters club has a story to tell.
