Forget John Lewis, Celtic Top of the Tree for Festive Films

Celtic proving once again that they are also number one when it comes to festive films…

Forget the John Lewis Christmas TV advertisement, you know it’s finally the festive season when you see that big star on top of the Celtic Park entrance. Celtic yesterday released the club’s long awaited festive film and as always it certainly didn’t disappoint.

It had everything. It was emotional, it had familiar faces, old faces, and as always it was absolutely perfect. Celtic really do pull on the old heartstrings with the Christmas film.

Tony Roper the star of the show

Life long Celtic supporter and BAFTA winner Tony Roper was excellent as ‘old grandpa Joe’ in a film that had all the usual comical and emotional vibes. I’m sure like me you were all pretty emotional while cracking a smile at the same time.

Christmas is a time of celebration and giving and that’s what our club is all about. We are undoubtedly the best and most successful side in the country, and we are forever time after time proving that on the field.

Yesterday also proved no one can touch us when it comes to the Christmas spirit. Some will try, but they won’t even come close. Approaching 80,000 views on You Tube in less than 24 hours is remarkable.

Well done to the marketing team at Celtic yet again. That’s ten in a row and they’re getting better every year.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
