There is a constant buzz of rumour and conjecture around Celtic Football Club at this current moment in time and many people in the footballing world are having their tuppence worth in terms of who should be next manager of the football club. One man who immediately shot into the running as a possible favourite was former gaffer, Brendan Rodgers, who famously left under a cloud of darkness back in 2019.
When Rodgers came into Celtic though in 2016, he totally transformed at team and squad that were in dire need of a shake up and turned them into Invincibles. We struggled to hit the heights in Europe but he did manage to gain us entry to the UEFA Champions League group stages via the qualifying rounds two seasons out of three.
With a style of football that was easy on the eye in his tenure, former Assistant of Ronny Deila at Celtic, John Collins, has revealed that he reckons that the Northern Irishman is the perfect match at the moment. Collins was speaking to BBC Sport Scotland and argued that whenever he’s been, he has delivered, whilst he is a proven manager of considerable pedigree at the top level.

Again, it really is hard to argue with what Collins says – it’s all factual. However, what is up for debate is whether or not it would keep the connection between the team and fanbase we currently have, as there would be more than a few disgruntled faces if Brendan did appear in the dugout at Parkhead once again.
