Now, Clarke has opted to bring in a left field reinforcement in the form of the US-based striker.

The 27-year old has eight goals in twelve games for New York Red Bulls and has bee included to bolster the frontline given Lyndon Dykes is injured.

Signed by Brendan Rodgers in January 2018, Morgan was loaned back to St Mirren before a move to Sunderland and then finally merited some action under Neil Lennon. Morgan started the 2019 League Cup Final but was replaced by Odsonne Edouard – who won the free-kick that resulted in Jullien’s goal.

He didn’t seem to be at the level required to make a lasting impact at Celtic but he seems to have taken well to life in the United States of America. His work rate was always an impressive feature and if he had scored the goals that he has in America during his time at Celtic, things may have been different for him.
