BERAM KAYAL has closed the door on a sensational Celtic return, just one month after saying that he would love to go back to the Scottish Champions. Kayal has completed a move to Bnei Sakhnin in Israel.
The 32-year-old was a free agent having left Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer and has agreed a three year deal, meaning that he will likely finish his career in his homeland.
Speaking last month, as reported by the Daily Record, Kayal admitted that he would jump at the chance of a reunion with Neil Lennon.
“A few things have come in from Scotland but we didn’t go far with that. I respect the people, so I don’t want to say which clubs.
“I need everything to be right. If it’s Celtic who come in, then I will be there tomorrow.”
Kayal spent four and a half years with the Parkhead side and was known for his tough tackling and calmness on the ball. The Israeli wore the No.33, which was worn by Hatem Abd Elhamed when he signed in 2019 too. He departed in the winter transfer window of 2015 with a move to English side Brighton.
Good luck to Beram at his new club, he had some great memories at Celtic.
