Four points after three games is tremendous. Especially when we’ve had to play the Champions League finalists and Europa League winners away from home. A play off spot is now more than achievable…

After the conclusion of match day three in the Champions League, Celtic has accumulated four points, which is absolutely tremendous when you consider we’ve had to negotiate away games against last season’s Champions league finalists Dortmund and the Europa League winners, Atalanta.

Okay, the hammering in Dortmund wasn’t particularly nice, but to follow that up with a more than credible goalless draw against Atalanta in Bergamo was impressive and probably significant.

That’s us negotiated two of our toughest away games and with two back to back home games pending we have the chance to make inroads in achieving a play off spot at the very least.

Those games will be against RB Leipzig and Club Brugge and while we want to win both games, four points wouldn’t be a disaster. There’s no doubt that RB Leipzig will be our toughest game, but with the a rocking Paradise behind us anything is possible.  At the moment RB doesn’t stand for Red Bull but ROCK BOTTOM as Leipzig are one of six teams on ZERO points after three rounds of matches.

The game against Club Brugge will also bring its own challenge, as we will be favourites, but it’s a challenge we are well capable of overcoming. What’s not in doubt is that our Champions League future looks a little brighter after tonight’s result.
