Oh my Days! What is this Jeremie Frimpong quote, that is being attributed to him this evening via the popular Rising Ballers Instagram account, all about?

“I dreamed the dream but my demands haven’t been met, you’ll see what I mean” is the quote and it certainly does not suggest that the departing Celtic star is a happy bunny concerning the way things have developed for him at the club this season.

Neil Lennon today at his media conference revealed that Frimpong had told him and Nick Hammond that he wanted out of Celtic despite the club’s efforts to convince him stay. The Celtic Star was first with the story today telling you that the 20 year old former Manchester City star was in Germany undergoing a medical ahead of an £11.5million transfer to Bayer Leverkusen. The transfer was six weeks in the making with the Bundesliga side putting forward an exciting career development programme to Frimpong that the young Dutchman thought was too good to turn down, despite Celtic’s efforts. Frimpong, before the German interest was planning on staying at Celtic for another 18 months or so but that changed in December.

Now rather than just heading off to his new club in a deal that seems to suit all parties, Frimpong has added some fresh controversy. No doubt we’ll find out what it’s all about over the next few days.
