It was confirmed today that Celtic FC Women’s game against Glasgow City on 18 August has been reversed and will now be played at the Excelsior Stadium.
The fixture was originally meant to take place at Petershill Park but due to improvement works taking place at the ground, Partick Thistle and Glasgow City will be unable to host games until 30 August.
This means that the second time we meet this season, scheduled to take place 16 February, will now be played at Petershill Park.
If you have purchased a ticket for the first Glasgow City game, the club have confirmed that you will receive an automatic refund.
Not long now until Celtic Women kick off their defence of the SWPL title. The Ghirls return to Paradise on August 10 and tickets will likely be available to purchase soon, so make sure to keep an eye out. And let’s make sure we get down in our thousands to cheer on Elena Sadiku’s squad in a few weeks time.
Can’t wait.
