Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has said that Panathinaikos will look for €25m for Celtic-linked striker Fotis Ioannidis. The Greek Internationalist is the subject of transfer interest ahead of the summer transfer window and Lazio have been told that they cannot currently meet the demands of the Athens club.

Chorianopoulos, the Editor in Chief at Sportime newspaper, has taken to Twitter/X to update followers on the status of the move after claiming that the Serie A side were very interested in bringing Ioannidis to Rome.

Chorianopoulos is a valuable resource with Greek-related transfers, with Vasilis Barkas and Giorgos Giakoumakis’ moves to the club accurately reported by the Athens-based sports journalist. His valuation goes against Gianluca Di Marzio, who says that Lazio are preparing a €15m move.

In 38 appearances for Panathinaikos, the striker has scored 21 goals and assisted on 7 occasions. The performances have caught the attention of clubs around Europe with Celtic linked as being interested. However, if the €25m price tag that Chorianopoulos mentions, Brendan Rodgers’ side will not be progressing with interest in the player. Rodgers is currently running his eye over Adam Idah before deciding whether or not to sign the Ireland Internationalist.
