Green Brigade message for Celtic support after Tynecastle display

The Green Brigade have issued a rallying cry to the Celtic support after the Scottish Champions blew Hearts away with an impressive performance at Tynecastle. The GB were not in attendance after their away tickets were withheld by the club pending an internal review. However, after a display of Palestine flags before the game, the North Curve Celtic Twitter account asked that the support unite again on Wednesday to show solidarity for Palestine.

The Scottish Champions face La Liga Giants Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and the Green Brigade have called on the Celtic support to bring flags to show their support for the Palestinian people.

The gesture will likely incur a sizeable UEFA fine and could even risk the partial closure of the Standing Section but, as stated in their message today, the will be unequivocal in their support for the cause.

Celtic were brilliant as they won 4-1 against the Jambos in Edinburgh with goals from Matt O’Riley, Daizen Maeda, Kyogo and Tomoki Iwata restored Celtic’s seven point lead at the top of the table.

  1. Green brigade are not the soul of the club. They are the arse holes of the club support. Not real supporters just troublemakers looking for anything to latch their moronic behaviour to. Ban them for good.

  2. Anyone who wants to show their support in that way should do so, likewise those who do not should not. Celtic as a club would easily win an appeal if we were fined for such a display, though they would just pay up if fined.

Didn’t UEFA themselves participate in and promote such shows of support for Ukraine ? what they really mean is they will decide what side you can choose to support in times of conflict.

  3. The whole Palestinian – Irish Indepence link is old stupid and shallow. The majority of these people you’ll find are not well read on the demographic growth of Israel pre and post-1944… While Irish and Scottish will find much more on common society wise with Israelis than Muslim groups with Islamic state flags in London and elsewhere protesting right now.

There are spates of anti-semitic attacks across Europe and the US right now. While Hamas figures provided for deaths cannot be relied upon. The ratio of children they provide seems off but I could be wrong on that one, it’s impossible to know.

These people are an embarrassment onto themselves and others.

    I’m an Irish nationalist btw.
