Celtic’s interim Chairman’s consolatory words about wishing for some unity to return at Celtic seems to have been no more than a nice soundbite from Brian Wilson…

The Celtic Fans Collective responded to this by sending a fair and reasonable open letter to the long servicing Celtic Director who is currently filling the void after Peter Lawwell left the club at the end of 2025.

Martin O’Neill, back at the club as manager for the second time this season after Wilfried Nancy’s sacking, also intervened and offered to hold a meeting with all parties as he looked to get Paradise packed and back to its best will ALL supporters being allowed access. This of course includes the Green Brigade who have been subjected to an ongoing ban from the board, led by Michael Nicholson, the Celtic CEO and the man who appointed Wilfried Nancy.

Today any hopes that the Green Brigade would be back for tomorrow’s vital match against Dundee United at Celtic Park has been dashed with the ultras group releasing an update on their social media account on x. It reads as follows:

‘Despite comments on “unity within the stadium” from Celtic Chairman Brian Wilson, and an open letter from the Celtic Fans Collective to Wilson seeking dialogue, the Green Brigade remains banned for tomorrow’s match and no dialogue has been forthcoming.’

There also has been no progress as far as the ban on Celtic fan media being lifted, imposed with no justification whatsoever and simply because we had the cheek to ask for perfectly reasonable questions.

Celtic aspire to be world class in everything they do yet in throughout 2025 and now into the New Year they seem to get one thing after another wrong.

They appointed Nancy, the worst manager in our history, and that cost us a cup final and has us trailing Hearts and now theRangers in the league. The fightback has to start tomorrow and our chances are better if we have everyone there. No-one a seriously argue that the Green Brigade have NOT been missed.

There’s still time Mr Wilson to lift the ban on the Green Brigade for tomorrow’s match and in doing so start the process of bringing the Celtic family back together. Only the return of Martin O’Neill prevented a boycott tomorrow with the crowd down significantly. Instead we can have 60,000 as we hunt down the three points.

The Celtic Board has damaged our season enough – Bring back the Green Brigade NOW!

BTW – Our former manager seems to be doing just fine over in Saudi Arabia.
