After the embarrassment of losing yet again to theRangers this afternoon – this time by a humiliating score of 4-1, there’s some better news from Celtic FC Women who have started brilliantly in their latest crucial SWPL1 match away to Forfar Farmington.

Fran Alonso made several changes to the side that came back from a gaol down to beat Hibs 3-1 last Sunday and   names the following side for today match: Johnstone, Craig, Lee, Robertson,  Ewens, Teegarden, Clark (captain), Atkinson, Hayes, Filbey and Warrington.

On the bench For Celtic are Logan, Keenan, Jacynta, Donaldson, Nicolson, Bowie and McAllister.

Anna Filbey gave Celtic the lead in the first few minutes but Celtic had to wait until just before the interval when Izzy Atkinson doubled the lead on 37 minutes. And a minute later the impressive goalscorer Sara Ewens made it three nil to effectively wrap up the points for Fran Alonso’s side.

And just before the interval our cultured midfielder playmaker Sarah Teegarden has made it 4-0 to Celtic.

It’s currently half time at Station Park and the scoreline is a very pleasing Forfar Farmington 0 Celtic FC Women 4.
