Damien Duff joined Celtic’s coaching staff in January 2019, when he swapped a role with the youth team at Shamrock Rovers for Parkhead. Upon joining the club, the Irishman gave an exclusive interview for Celtic TV, in which he said: “There’s no other place in the world, or any other club that I would have left Ireland for.”

Having won five major honours, including two English Premier League titles, Duff has the winning mentality that embodies this current Celtic setup. Furthermore, he understands the Irish connection and what Celtic means to the Emerald Isle and her diaspora around the world.

Since joining Celtic, Duff has been part of a coaching team that has overseen three consecutive trophies to date, with high hopes of another two following.

Damien turns 41 today. We wish him well and look forward to his development in the game. If he can have a career with half the success of his playing days, then he certainly will go a long way.
