Happy birthday Jamesy, our modern day Celtic legend

Many happy returns to James Forrest who turns 33 today.

It’s been 14 years since James made his first team debut at the age of 18 and he’s remained a vital part of the squad ever since. 495 appearances, 108 goals and 24 major honours later he still continues to contribute to success at Celtic football club.

He’s a modern day Celtic legend, it’s not even up for debate. James despite being in the veteran stages still has a lot to offer the club, and he said recently that he can’t visualise playing for anyone else. It’s only Celtic for James.

James might not play in each and every game, but his presence and ability is just as important and valuable to us on and off the park. He proved at the business end of last season how valuable he is to the side. He’s the man for the big occasion and will never let us down.

James is sure to be a vital part of Brendan’s plans next season. With only a year remaining on his contract it could be his last year at the club, but don’t be surprised if he extends that stay. Brendan will be challenging him to earn another year after that and remember Jamesy has said that he will NOT play for another club, he started at Celtic and he will only play for Celtic.

In the tweets shown below, there’s one from the Scotland National Team showing a brilliant goal Jamesy scored for Scotland.  That wasn’t at Euro 2024 because Steve Clarke failed to utilise the best option he had for a game changing intervention from the bench.

James Forrest could very well bow out as the most decorated Celt of all time. Happy birthday James, all the best and we look forward to you adding three more medals to your awesome collection.

Hail Hail Jamesy!
