IT all looked very positive yesterday when Celtic posted training photographs from Lennoxtown that featured both injury doubts for tomorrow – James Forrest and Kieran Tierney.

But while it remains positive concerning Jamesy, Neil Lennon delivered some worrying news concerning KT and hinted that he might need to give him an extended break to allow him to get back to his best.

“Tierney had a bit of a reaction in training,” the Celtic manager said.

“I’m not ruling him out, but it didn’t look great this morning. He looked a bit uncomfortable, so we’ll have to wait and see how he is.”

“He probably needs a rest.

“We’ll try and get him over the line as quickly as possible, then shut him down for a while.

“We’ll be guided by the medical team.”

With Tierney now a major doubt for tomorrow, Lenny will have a decision to make on who to select as an alternative. His fellow Irishman Jonny Hayes is likely to get the nod, having impressed in Celtic’s last game at Dens Park, but Emilio Izaguirre is also back to full fitness having not played since the defeat to Valencia at Celtic Park.

Izaguirre always seems to play well at Celtic Park but has struggled in the away games.

Earlier in the week we gave you our predicted team and reckoned that if KT didn’t make it then Hayes would start so we’ll stand by that prediction.

The team we suggested was

Scott Bain

Mikael Lustig, Kris Ajer, Dedryck Boyata, (KT) / Jonny Hayes

Scott Brown, Callum McGregor

James Forrest, Tom Rogic, Scotty Sinclair

Odsonne Edouard

The other position that could chance is the Number 10, with Tom Rogic possibly being on the bench.

That could open up a starting spot for Oil Burke, Olivier Ntcham or Ewan Henderson.

Remember to bring or buy your flags…because it could be another Beautiful Sunday!
