Hibs 0 Celtic 0 – Just a bad day at the office

Disappointing to drop two points at Easter Road against Hibs, but it was just a bad day at the office for Celtic…

A goalless draw wasn’t the result we wanted, but one we can have no complaints about as we weren’t at the races, in fact we were dreadful.

It shouldn’t be surprising in all honesty after the energy sapping game against Atletico on Wednesday night. Of course it’s not an excuse, but it did have a bearing on our performance, only a fool would suggest otherwise. The players looked disjointed and leg weary and in all honesty we could have played until midnight and not broke through the Hibs rearguard. It was just one of those days.

It’s easy to criticise, but our lead at the top will still be at least five points come tonight, and that’s after the first 10 games which has included six tough away fixtures. To have a lead like that is admirable considering the change of manager, and our main rivals enjoying the ‘luck’ of the fixture list once more.

That’s the bigger picture, if you were offered that before a ball was kicked, each and every one of us would’ve took it without question. It was a bad day at the office, that’s all.

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.

  1. We did break through the hibs defence.
First half if Palma squares to Kyogo it’s a tap in.
2nd half Forrest misses a sitter hits the bar should have burst the net.
We may have been tired and a bit off it but take those 2 chances which we should have it’s 2-0.
Hibs or any other anti football side sit in and defend it’s very difficult to break down but we did twice and blew it.
Forrest came on against Kilmarnock missed a sitter dropped 2 points
He came on against Motherwell missed a sitter only for o’reilly to score we never dropped 2 points.
He came in yesterday missed a sitter we drop 2 points.
He never/can’t get by the full back always goes side ways or backwards
The truth of the matter is the player no one likes to criticise is done and gives nothing to the side even as a sub
