Artur Boruc officially hung up his gloves last weekend, concluding a fantastic career at Legia Warsaw.

The Holy Goalie is undoubtedly one of Celtic’s favourite players of this century, let alone being among the fans’ favourite goalkeepers to represent the club. The Polish International enjoyed many iconic moments in Scotland and was considered to be among Europe’s best stoppers during his peak years. However, he also made some howlers towards the end of his stint at Parkhead and his professionalism was questioned in the months prior to his Celtic exit.

Given the Holy Goalie’s popularity for his antics such as flying the Champions flag at Ibrox, he is often lauded more than the likes of Fraser Forster, but was he a better keeper for Celtic than the Englishman? Reflecting on Boruc’s retirement, I decided to pose the question to the world of Celtic Twitter.

Over 1,600 Celtic supporters responded to the poll, with 57% deeming Boruc to be the better keeper and just 43% feeling that Forster was.

The results show just how good and how loved the Holy Goalie was at Paradise.

One of our club heroes has retired from the game.
