If Celtic had won just three from eight, Keevins and Co would be shouting about it

The fact of the matter is that theRangers are on a slump, not that the Scottish mainstream media will let you know. They simply don’t want to talk about it…

Yesterday’s shock 3-2 defeat to Ross County has put a dent in theRangers title hopes. With the chance to go top on Wednesday night now gone, the latest Ibrox club could be perhaps feeling the pressure of being in the uncharted waters of challenging for the Scottish Premiership title.

We live in a stats driven world today, and those stats will show you that theRangers have now only won THREE out of their last EIGHT fixtures losing three and drawing two of the other while conceding 13 goals in the process.

Those stats are very damaging to a side who are chasing silverware and it’s a stat that strangely but not surprisingly the SMSM choose not to discuss. Imagine Celtic were on that kind of run? Hacks like old Hugh Keevins would be giddy with gee and slobbering at the mouth and wouldn’t be shy to point it out at every opportunity.

Indeed our comfortable 3-0 victory over St Mirren at the weekend was our sixth win out of eight, yet hacks such as Keevins were still questioning our own title credentials. Only one side is showing title winning form, not that you would know it judging by the coverage in the SMSM.

There’s now huge pressure on theRangers ahead of their game on Wednesday night against Dundee, whether it’s at Dens Park in Dundee or McDiarmid Park in Perth. Another slip-up and things could get very ugly indeed as their fight for 56 (sic) falls apart. And it’s all on Sky Sports.

Although we’re definitely in the driving seat, we’ve won nothing yet and still a lot of football to be played. I’ll feel more comfortable when we whip them at Celtic Park. Until then, don’t say cuckoo till you’re out the woods😅
