Celtic Star Kyogo Furuhashi has responded to the disgusting racist abuse that he was subjected to yesterday by a group of theRangers fans on a bus travelling to Dingwall for their game against Ross County.
The Celtic goalscorer simply noted that the support that he has received from the Celtic family, saying “I’ll never walk alone” before adding the No to Racism hashtag.
A video was taken by fellow supporters in theRangers Supporters Bus and was widely shared on social media. News outlets across the world have now picked up on the racial abuse story – including in Japan – and both theRangers and Celtic have issued statements, Celtic’s statement, issued yesterday said this:

“If reports are accurate then such sickening and pathetic racist behaviour directed towards Kyogo Furuhashi deserves absolute condemnation.
“Unfortunately, a number of Celtic players in recent years have suffered similar racist abuse.
“As a club open to all, we stand firmly against racism in all its forms and we will give Kyogo our full support.
All stakeholders must work together in tackling all forms of bigotry.”
The least we can expect from theRangers captain James Tavernier on Sunday is to follow the excellent example set by former Celtic captain Scott Brown earlier this year when Glen Kamara was racially abused during a Europa League match.
