Ange Postecoglou faced the media ahead of Sunday’s game against Hibernian at Hampden. The sides will meet in the Premier Sports Cup Final and both will be hungry to claim the first piece of silverware of the season.

Celtic, while in a fine run of form, have been hampered with injuries to key players at various points across the season so far. Two players that are doubts for the Final are Kyogo Furuhashi and James Forrest. Both attackers pulled up with injuries in the space of a few days.

After the win at Ross County on Wednesday, in which Tony Ralston scored a dramatic late winner, the manager said that there were no fresh concerns. Postecoglou refused to rule anyone out as he spoke to the media conference.

“From the other night, everyone got through OK, which is good.

“In terms of guys in rehab, all progressing. Obviously we still have another day tomorrow but can’t really make a call on any of them being available or unavailable at this stage.

“As I said earlier in the week, it is a day-to-day proposition as to who potentially might be available for Sunday.”

Celtic are currently without Forrest, Kyogo, Mikey Johnston, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Albian Ajeti – which represents the majority of attackers at the club. However, it is reassuring that the manager is refusing to rule anyone out at this stage, whether that is a mind game or not.
