Those supporters of theRangers are a strange bunch. Deluded is most probably the best word to describe them. That is the only word to describe a fan base who were only last week booing their side off the park at half-time, and only a week later are praising them to the hilt. Some are even tipping them for a treble!

Yes it’s mad, it’s crazy. No, scrap that, there isn’t a word in the dictionary to describe it. How can a group of players go from being hopeless and useless to the best crop in the country in just over a week?

How can you go from foaming at the mouth and tearing into your side one week to gushing over them the next? The phone-ins were packed with angry Bears slating the recruitment of duff players and saying they were in need of another complete overhaul.

Now? They are on course for a Treble and the players are the best in the country! There is not a fan base in world football that is as deluded as that lot. None whatsoever. They are also saying they will be back where they belong, haven’t they noticed they already are? Yes, second place, that’s their proper place, Scottish football’s bridesmaid. Two major honours in their history, even St Johnstone have won more this past decade. They seem to conveniently forget that.

Celtic have won the title 11 times in the past 12 years. We belong there. It’s not up for debate. And talking of Trebles we’re won five in the past seven years and you can add a double to that too. We’ve also earned our place as current league leaders where we are currently eight points clear. That’s all stuff that the deluded Bears fail to grasp. If anything they are quite amusing, annoying, but amusing all the same.
