Six years ago today Celtic clinched a historic invincible treble at Hampden against Aberdeen, a momentous achievement and one that most likely will never be equalled.

To go through an entire domestic season unbeaten is a tough task, but to win every single honour is even more difficult, but Brendan Rodgers side done just that in Season 2016/17.

That day at Hampden only our nearest challengers Aberdeen stood in our way of making history, and despite falling behind to an early Jonny Hayes goal we never lost focus. Stuart Armstrong of course equalised straight away and Tom Rogic scored a brilliant goal to clinch it right at the death in true Celtic style and you can enjoy these very special photographs that captured the moment perfectly below.

Everything about that winner was so picturesque. The run and finish by Tom, there was even a strike of lightning in the skies when the ball left his foot. It still gives me goosebumps when I watch the replays of the goal, the finish, and Toms celebration as he jumped into that small corner of Celtic supporters, it was all magical. Iconic. A true uplifting moment in the club’s illustrious history.

The club have been involved in many dramatic endings especially when it comes to Scottish cup finals. Frank McGarvey in 1985 and Frank McAvennie in 1988 immediately spring to mind, Tom Rogic in 2017 is right up there beside them. What a moment and what a day, one we will never forget.
