“Good Morning, Celts! Here’s the goals that got us all three points in Paradise last night to keep us nine clear in the cinch Premiership,” Celtic TV have just tweeted. They go on invitee you to watch and enjoy the four goals from Abada…Kyogo with the double…then The Bull with a bullet. Surely he’s in line for a start against Greenock Morton on Saturday in the Scottish Cup.

It was a cold night at Celtic Park but the standard of football from this very exciting Celtic side warmed the hearts of the those who braved the cold. With the game moved from the weekend due to the League Cup semi-final at Hampden against Kilmarnock some supporters, especially those coming from afar and across the sea will simply have been unable to attend the re-arranged game last night.

There were several thousand empty seats and although supporters have already paid for them via their season tickets, that was a game were the benefits of the Ticket Exchange we were writing about in the summer would be a win-win situation for everyone.

The idea – and it’s already being successfully used by Hearts – is that if you can’t make the game your ticket goes into the Exchange and is sold to another supporter. You get 50% of the money and the club get the other 50%. You can also opt to donate your 50% to The Celtic Foundation.

So you get some cash for your ticket that you can’t use for that game, or you make a worthwhile donation to Celtic FC Foundation. Celtic get additional revenue from their share of the re-sale (remember the club already have been paid for your seat via your season ticket money) and there will also be additional spending on food, drink and maybe in the Celtic superstore. And supporters without season tickets get the chance to attend a game, adding to the atmosphere.
