talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has predicted that Celtic will get ‘pumped’ by Real Madrid on Tuesday night despite lauding the Hoops for their efforts in the 4-0 Glasgow Derby win at the weekend.

Celtic, who will embark in their first Champions League group stage adventure since 2017 when they take to the field tonight, could not have asked for a tougher start as they take on Carlo Ancelotti’s Galacticos side.

The Spanish giants won the Champions League last season mainly due to heroics from Karim Benzema and Thibaut Courtois, overcoming hurdles from Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool on their way to an unbelievable 14th European Cup in Paris.

And O’Hara, who never played in a Champions League tie, did praise the Bhoys for their superb performance against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men – though he did concede that he believed a long night would be in store for Ange’s boys.

What a night this is going to be for Scottish football. Unbelievable,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

What a fixture. They’re coming after the Old Firm game, winning, 4-0, they’re going to be confident going into it, Champions League.

I think they’ll get pumped. I think they’ll get beat comfortably. I’m going to go 3-1.”

Let’s hope the team can prove O’Hara wrong – they’ve certainly shown they can do it on the continental stage before…
