Joe Hart has posted a picture of himself already back at the gym in preparation for next season.
The Celtic keeper keeps a relatively active Instagram account, posting pictures from both his daily and professional life. From this, we have seen Joe Hart enjoy a relaxing holiday, getting some much-needed time off following a long and successful season.
The former English International was an integral part of Celtic’s Treble winning season under Ange Postecoglou. However, the 36-year-old will be returning to a somewhat changed set-up, as the departure of Ange has allowed Brendan Rodgers to return to Paradise in his previous role as manager.
Although this change was initially met with a mixed response, a wave of excitement seems to have developed, as Celtic’s future is looking very promising under Rodgers. This attitude seems to be shared by the players, as Joe Hart has recently posted on his Instagram story, showing himself back at the gym and already getting prepped for next season, adding the caption: “Nearly time to go again.”
A change in management can be an unsettling time for a player, with new ideas, new players, and different playing styles coming into the picture. Although, it seems that Hart is embracing the challenge as he is already back at it and setting the tone for the upcoming season.
Rodgers will want strong characters in the dressing room and Hart is a leader with great experience. It remains to be seen whether Benjamin Siegrist will be there next season with Scott Bain already given a new deal. Given Hart’s age, you’d expect there to be some degree of succession planning but at present, he will be Celtic’s No.1 for the new season.
