The other thing almost as pleasing as last night’s result against Atalanta, was Joe Hart on co-comms. He’s such a natural and a refreshing change…

Last night’s result was in Bergamo was brilliant, and the only other thing that matched it was listening to Joe Hart on co-commentary duties. Usually I turn the sound down when watching these games especially with the dreary Rory Hamilton commentating, but last night even the ‘impartial’ Rory was bearable with the man on the mic next to him, and that man was none other than our own Super Joe Hart.

Joe has taken to punditry to a duck like water, and it’s a refreshing change to listen to someone who has such a wonderful insight into the game and genuine affection for our football club.

The former Celtic goalkeeper has the presence and the composure to be a TV personality, and the fact that he doesn’t talk in riddles or uses the same old dreary catchphrases like some I could mention, is a breath of fresh air.

Joe Hart talks sense, and has used his experience in the game as well as his intellect to put his opinions across in a way that everyone can understand. He has been a hit since taking up punditry with fans both north and south of the border, and he also speaks up for our game in England, which is more than can be said for some of the well known Scottish pundits.

Let’s hope to see and hear more of Joe on our television screens. He really is a refreshing change and a major upgrade on most pundits with the honourable exception of the fearless and outstanding Chris Sutton.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
