Joe Hart’s Celtic love letter but says business to be done

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has penned a love letter to Celtic after playing his final game at Celtic Park yesterday. The Scottish Champions collected their trophy after the 3-2 win over St Mirren but it was also an emotional afternoon with Hart being honoured in the stands with displays and after he was substituted in the late stages.

Taking to Instagram, Hart confessed his love to the club while saying that he still hasn’t been able to properly summarise his feelings about the club and the atmosphere on Trophy Day.

Celtic and Hart have formed a beautiful relationship that not many might have projected. After leaving Burnley in 2020, the 75-cap England Internationalist said that he needed to find his place in football again. A stint at Tottenham followed before a move to Ange Postecoglou’s revolution in 2021 with Celtic. The goalkeeper came in with quality on the park and leadership off of it to help the club towards further success. It was fitting that he was given a send off from Paradise indicative of a player of his quality.

Elsewhere, Celtic have been linked with Avo Muric from Burnley and Patrick Pentz from Bayer Leverkusen as the club faces the daunting task of replacing the Englishman in the summer. Celtic have been linked with a number of goalies with Alex McCarthy from Southampton another option for next season’s No.1 vacancy.
