John Hartson’s Opinion “Means Nothing” To Neil Lennon As Celtic Boss Hits Back At Former Teammate “On The Periphery Of The Game”

Former Celtic striker John Hartson spoke to Ten10 podcasts last week when he said that the league was over, before blasting the Dubai debacle and then stating that less than 15,000 fans would be at games now.

Hartson subsequently said that it was time for Lennon to go as despite trying everything, nothing is working for his former teammate.

According to the Scottish Sun, in response, Neil Lennon told the media: “John has an opinion, like more people on the periphery of the game.

“You either take it on board or you don’t. It has no impact on me. It means nothing.

“When he praises me, it means nothing. When he’s talking about me losing my job or being removed from my post, it means nothing to me.

“But when you are on the media side it’s an easy life.”

This section of Lennon’s rant got overlooked as he directed most of his fury at the SNP, the media and Andy Walker. However, it represents a sad state of affairs that two men who achieved so much as players for the club are at polar opposites in public.

Lennon seems to be in a defiant mood with his job under threat, but many are now starting to think that this latest outburst is just going too far, despite some of his points such as the SNP’s hypocrisy being quite valid.
