Kasper Schmeichel is set to complete a medical ahead of a proposed move to Celtic. The 37-year-old will undergo the medical in Italy before flying to the USA to join up with his Celtic teammates ahead of their pre-season games against DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea in the States.
According to Danish football journalist Farzam Abolhosseini, the player will complete his medical tomorrow before meeting up with his new teammates on Thursday.

The Dane is available as a free agent having left Anderlecht at the end of the season. There had been interest to take him to Saudi but the player appears to be keen on a crack at Champions League football with Celtic.
Celtic will sign the player on a one-year deal with an option to extend that further. The club will also be bringing in Viljami Sinisalo from Aston Villa in a £1m deal. The 22-year-old will deputise to Schmeichel and be mentored by the the former Man City goalie.
Schmeichel made 479 appearances for Leicester turning out for as they won the League, FA Cup and Community Shield as well as two Top 5 finishes. The latter three achievements were under Brendan.
