Another of Celtic’s former players, Big, Bad John Hartson has been having his say on the result today from McDairmid Park. Ange Postecoglou and his men were rewarded with three points and the reinstating of our nine-point gap at the top of the cinch Premiership league table this afternoon, after a 4-1 victory over the second most successful Scottish club of the last 11 years.

The game was a stroll for Celtic as we shot two past the St Johnstone goalkeeper early in the game, thanks to an own goal from the distraught Andy Considine and another from the magnificent Kyogo Furuhashi. After that the Saints managed to pull one back after a great hit from outside the box. However, Celtic wasted no time in getting a third thanks to some sublime, intricate play between Jota and Aaron Mooy to put us back in cruise control.

Dominating the game from there on in, the Bhoys took everything in their stride as they strutted towards another win on the road this season. Late into the match, we had the opportunity at a shot on the St Johnstone goal and David Turnbull made no mistake after a cute lay-off from teammate, Matt O’Riley. Despite another crazy VAR check, the goal all but confirmed our latest win on the way to Two-in-a-row.

Big Hartson pointed to the deep-seated winning mentality in the squad big Ange has assembled and suggested that all Celtic need to concentrate on is winning the next game. All the outside noise from elsewhere in the city becomes utterly redundant if we keep on the way we’re going for sure – Hartson has been over the course before and knows the score in that regard.

Speaking via Twitter, Big Bad John said: “Celtic again showing a winning mentality despite any hurdles put in front of them.. things you can’t effect. Keep winning takes care of everything.”
