FAIR play to the Kilmarnock groundsman who got back from his trip to Moscow to watch Scotland get thrashed 4-0 by Russia to find out that he’s unbeknown to himself become something of an internet celebrity after a witty response to one of his mate’s tweets, which we covered on The Celtic Star last night and described this as the highlight of the dreaded and indeed dreadful International break.
Well, the Killie groundsman was back at his work today and just about the first thing he did was, yes you’ve guessed it, to get the hoover out and shake and vac the Rugby Park plastic pitch or carpet if you prefer.
The original tweet that started the ball rolling was this one…

And it typical Scottish witty humour Paddy Farrell replied – “Groundsman at Kilmarnock hahahahaha. Wits the **** dae? Hoover?”
“The main man back from international duty and back at work,” his pal, Michael Higgins, tweeted today and check out the photograph – brilliant!

Well, done everyone involved, although we still intensely dislike these horrible pitches at Killie, Livingston and Hamilton. Get rid for the good of the Scottish game, and if Celtic have to chip in to make that happen then so be it…
