The draw for the last 16 of the League Cup, sponsored by Viaplay was made this afternoon and the news for holders Celtic is that we have an away game against Kilmarnock with the ties to be played over the weekend of 19/20 August, subject to TV selections.
Last season’s beaten finalists theRangers have a home tie (surprise, surprise) against Greenock Morton while Aberdeen are away to Stirling Albion, Hibs are at home to Raith Rovers and Hearts also have a home tie against Partick Thistle.
Rangers 2012 have had 37 home draws across both cup competitions
And 3 away

It’s unlikely that the Kilmarnock v Celtic game will avoid being selected for TV broadcast and it’s most likely to be shown on Viaplay. Hopefully there is decent away allocation for this game rather than the usual spectacle of Scottish football displaying empty seats on national television when there are supporters left frustrated at not being able to attend games.
