Credit due where credit is due, Liam Scales was absolutely magnificent for Celtic yesterday afternoon in the 3-0 victory over theRangers…

If he keeps playing like that then Auston Trusty will have a fight on his hands to be a regular starter and that level of competition in every position in the team is exactly what Brendan Rodgers set out to achieve this summer.

There wasn’t one failure in our side during the 3-0 win over theRangers at Paradise on another Beautiful Sunday for the Celtic support. Each and every Celtic player played their part and one of those players was particularly impressive was Liam Scales.

Liam is sometimes a scapegoat for some of the more critical Celtic supporters and is unfairly criticised more often than not. I myself am of the belief he is a squad player, but give him nothing but my full support when he pulls on that Celtic shirt.

On Sunday against theRangers I thought that  Liam Scales was magnificent. He was dominant in the air he was good on the deck and withstood the little threat that theRangers front line offered.

Liam’s place is of course under more scrutiny due to the arrival of Auston Trusty and that perhaps has made him step up his game a little, which can only be seen as a good thing.

Credit dues where’s credit due in regard to Liam’s performance on Sunday, he deserves all the praise that’s coming his way. If he keeps playing like that then Auston Trusty will have a fight on his hands to regularly play alongside his international teammate Cameron Carter Vickers, £6 million price tag or not. As I said already, that’s exactly the way Brendan wants it to be.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
