Liel Abada has decided to extend his stay in Scottish football with the Champions as the club have announced the Israeli has signed on the dotted line until 2027. Brendan Rodgers had spoken to Liel when he first joined the club once again for the second time and revealed that he wanted the little attacker to continue his career at Parkhead.

Both Liel and Reo Hatate have been in talks with the club all summer long but hadn’t managed to reach an agreement yet. But now Liel has made it clear he is committed to Celtic Football Club for the foreseeable future right now. The player hasn’t been great so far this season and will need to get back to his devastating, clinical best if he fancies his chances in a better league.
An absolute viper in front of goal at times, Abada has been worth his weight in goals – literally. He has a particular penchant for popping up in the box at the right time and has given many a defence in Scottish football a nightmare. Borna Barisic is one that has suffered particularly at the hands of the diminutive winger. Poor soul.

With a new deal signed and sealed, hopefully Liel is in contention for Sunday lunchtime against the Ibrox side. He’s not turned it on in the Glasgow Derby for a wee while and will no doubt fancy giving them the runaround. It would be some way to top off a great week for the Israeli – signing a new deal with the club and then putting our arch-rivals to the sword in their own patch.
