‘Listen mate’ – More evidence that Ange has got under the skin of Scottish hacks in mainstream media

Sports Journalist Ewan Murray has plenty of form when it comes to his dislike of all things Celtic and the latest Celtic related annoyance for the Hearts supporting hack is Ange Postecoglou’s habit of using ‘Mate’ in his answers, especially to questions asked at his Media Conferences, an example today came when asked about the incredibly, brilliant, wonderful, amazing, outstanding European run being enjoyed by the Rangers and their supporters in the media…you can read that HERE.

Another good example would be from last September after the defeat at Livingston left Celtic in sixth place in the league and that as enough for the hacks to declare the Rangers as this season’s Champions – their first ever in front of fans. Ange said ‘you call the title early here mate’ or words to that effect.

Here’s what Ewan Murray is moaning about this evening:

“Constant printing/repetition of Ange Postecoglou’s “mate” is now tiresome. It’s a quirk of speech, typical for Australians. It isn’t – typically – aggressive or cheeky. Are we to start printing every Scottish football figure’s “Eh” or “you know” or “knowwhattamean” …?

The replies from Celtic supporters are wroth checking out…
