AC MILAN have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Hakan Calhanoglu left training on crutches ahead of the match versus Celtic on Thursday.
The Turkish playermaker looks set for an unspecified period on the sidelines according to MilanNews via Sempre Milan. Meaning that the Serie A league leaders will almost certainly be without him for the Group H clash on Thursday.
Calhanoglu has had a hand in 14 goals, with six goals and eight assists since Milan returned from lockdown and would’ve been looking forward to continue his form in Europe.
This is a boost for Celtic with one of the high flying Milan players missing the game. However, it will still be an extremely stern task given how poor Celtic have been in recent weeks.
Needless to say, the players will be eager to respond after a toothless display against Rangers. A European victory would certainly be the catalyst for a shift in momentum after the Rangers game as Celtic are about to embark on a tricky run of fixtures in the league and in Europe.
