James Forrest is set to start at Ibrox on Sunday. In the know journalist Alison Conroy has confirmed this morning that the winger who has missed most of the season through injury, is back for the weekend, trip across the city for the fifth and final Glasgow Derby of the season.
Celtic’s shape is likely to be different with James Forrest being available and rather than re-deploying the midfield diamond that reduced the width in the side in the recent 2-0 Scottish Cup defeat at Ibrox, John Kennedy will more than likely go with a 4-3-3 with Forrest and Elyounoussi in the wide portions, supporting the striker, presumably Odsonne Edouard.
That is likely to cause theRangers many more problems than recently but the key factor is going to be confidence – something that has been lacking in front of goal against the Ibrox side this season.
Forrest’s availability might just give the entire team the confidence boost that they need to get the win and end their Glasgow Derby matches this season with some salvaged pride and respectability. Even a draw is a terrible result for Celtic as it allows theRangers to take another massive step towards finishing the season undefeated.
