Matt O’Riley has proved himself to be a key component in Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side. O’Riley has established himself in the Celtic side and created countless chances already, including against the likes of Real Madrid, and also setting up goals for Abada and Jota against theRangers. As reported by Tipsbladet, O’Riley, who missed out on a call-up to the Denmark national squad this week, in favour of promised game-time for the Under 21s where he can make his claim for breakthrough ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.  And the former MK Dons midfielder reckons he could be in no better place that Celtic to play his football.

“I know Leicester showed a lot of interest in me. And I think Newcastle was there too. But it wasn’t a matter of any of them making a bid. If there’s no bid, it’s not very concrete in my head,” O’riley said As reported by Tipsbladet. “I didn’t really think about it because nobody from Celtic told me that, for example, Newcastle had made an offer. It wasn’t like that, so there wasn’t much to think about, and a lot is also written in the media.

“It’s great to get some recognition because it means that I’m doing well at Celtic.”

“But as I say, Celtic is the perfect place for me right now. It’s a big club, we play in the Champions League, the fans are insanely good and the team is good.”

“It’s a perfect place to be, and I also think it’s a good place to be if I want to go to the World Cup with Denmark.”

Matt O’Riley has been a brilliant signing and great value the modest fee of just £1.5m paid to MK Dons in January  and he continues to improve as he esrtablishes his place in this exciting Celtic side. . It’s no wonder Premier League clubs are interested in him. However, to our benefit, for now at least, Matt is sure that Paradise is the place to be.

We’ll continue to enjoy watching him while we can.
