Media help peddling the myth of Aberdeen only playing four games a season…

Following on from our thumping of Aberdeen before the international break theRangers supporters have been busy peddling the old myth that the Dons lie down against Celtic and only try against their own side.

That is quite predictable, it’s what they do after all, but the SMSM have been flinging some extra fuel into the fire by encouraging it. The imbecile that is Kris Boyd didn’t help matters by accusing Aberdeen of cheating on live television.

Remember the way Chris Sutton was vilified for his comments about Dunfermline 20 years ago? Contrast and compare with Boyd’s remarks. The Dons may have a dreadful record against Celtic, but don’t Hearts have just as terrible a record against theRangers?

Yes they do, but it’s never put under the microscope as much as Aberdeen’s dismissal showings against Celtic. The truth is that Celtic are a much better side than Aberdeen and theRangers. That’s the honest truth, but one that some don’t want to admit. Pretending that Aberdeen morph into Real Madrid when they play the Ibrox side is fooling no one.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
